Civil Aviation Management Master of Arts with Thesis

General Information about the Department

The aim of the Aviation Management master's program with thesis is to train qualified human resources needed in the areas of expertise related to aviation management. In order to enter the program, it is necessary to have a bachelor's degree, to meet the qualification requirements such as getting enough scores on ALES exam, foreign language exam and to have required grade level of undergraduate degree. Those who have a bachelor's degree in the fields such as civil air transport management, aviation management, business administration, tourism, industrial engineering, aviation engineering etc. are the target audience of the program. In addition to those who aim for an academic career, those who work in different areas of the aviation industry such as airports, airlines, ground handling services, and those who are interested in business and management issues can also participate in the program.

In the program, courses in aviation specialization areas such as science ethics and scientific research methods, airline management strategies, air transport economics, air transportation management, aviation safety management, airport finance and management, marketing, cost, operations, innovation, project, quality, crisis and risk management in aviation businesses are offered.

In order to graduate from the program, in addition to seminar course it is necessary to take at least 7 courses and to complete 60 ECTS credits with a grade of YT, CC or higher. In addition, it is required to successfully complete the field of specialization course and thesis study and to have at least 2.50 GPA.

In addition, they can work as aviation experts in public institutions such as the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, General Directorate of State Airports Authority, in service units of relevant ministries and in research centers as aviation science experts.
