General Information about the Department

The Department of Technology Integration in Education has been offering graduate studies since the 2011-2012 academic year. Four professors and two associate professors lecture and supervise in the department. Distant Educational Technologies Non-thesis Master’s Program aims to provide individuals who seek self-development within the scope of life-long learning with professional knowledge, deeper knowledge and skills necessary for using technology effectively in instruction and in their lives. It also strives to equip the graduate students with representations of how to put their knowledge into practice as well as knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for designing instruction proper to curricula, developing electronical content, and for conducting research about issues in their profession. The program also offers rich content about scientific methods and research techniques in education, science ethics, instructional design theories and applications, online learning environments, technology integration in education, digital existence, current technological issues, and Web 2.0 technologies. A student is required to successfully complete a total of 10 courses- not less than 75 ECTS in total, to take the term project course, and to have a minimum GPA of 2.50/4.00.
