Program in Education of Gifted Education - Ph.D.

General Information about the Program

The mission of the program is to train teachers in the field of education for gifted, talented and creative students, carry out research on giftedness, intelligence, creativity and other forms of high ability, generate knowledge, develop educational strategies and train qualified personnel, and disseminate this knowledge and services globally.

The aim of the program is to

• train qualified teachers to teach gifted and talented students,

• give supportive training to teachers of gifted and talented students,

• provide tailored educational opportunities for gifted and talented students,

• carry out researches on superior-high intelligence, intelligence and creativity,

• disseminate these research findings both nationally and internationally.

Career Opportunities

The candidates who graduate from this program can gain employment as a

• teacher in primary schools affiliated with the Ministry of Education,

• teacher in secondary schools affiliated with the Ministry of Education,

• special education specialist in Guidance Research Centers of the Ministry of Education,

• teacher in institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Family and Social Policies,

• teacher in Special Education and Rehabilitation Centers of the Ministry of Education, and

• lecturer in the relevant departments of universities.

The program gives the opportunity to participate in research and training in the Education Programs for Talented Students conducted under Education, Research and Application Center for Gifted Students affiliated to Anadolu University.
