Aviation Management Master of Arts (MA) Degree - Non-Thesis

General Information about the Department

The aim of the Aviation Management non-thesis master's program is to train qualified human resources needed in the areas of expertise related to aviation management. A bachelor's degree is required to enter the program. Those who have a bachelor's degree in the fields such as civil air transport management, aviation management, business administration, economics, public administration, logistics, tourism, industrial engineering, aviation engineering, flight training, air traffic control, aircraft maintenance and so on are the target audience of the non-thesis master's program in aviation management. Those who work in different areas of the aviation industry such as airports, airlines, ground handling services and in public institutions and those who are interested in business and management issues can also participate in the program. In the program, courses in aviation specialization areas such as science ethics and scientific research methods, airline management strategies, air transport economics, aviation safety management, airport finance and management, marketing, cost, operations, innovation, quality, crisis and risk management in aviation businesses are given.

The fees for the courses given in the program with evening education method are determined within the framework of the relevant regulations and announced on the Graduate School of Social Sciences website. In order to complete the non-thesis master's program, it is necessary to take at least 10 courses, not less than 60 ECTS in total, to get YT, CC grades or above from these courses. In addition to obtain an YT grade from the term project course and achieve a minimum GPA of 2.50.

Graduates of this program can find jobs at almost every level in the aviation industry, primarily in airline, airport and ground handling companies. In addition, they can work as aviation experts in public institutions such as the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, General Directorate of State Airports Authority, in service units of relevant ministries and in research centers as aviation science experts.
