Biochemistry Thesis Master's Degree
General Information about the Program
The Masters Degree program in Biochemistry offers an academically-challenging study in living organisms at the cellular and molecular bases. The two-years master’s programme aims to educate highly skilled and motivated biochemists. During the theoretical courses, the structure, functions, interactions and metabolic pathways of biological molecules will be explored. The students also carry out their own original research project that involves reviewing relevant papers, analysing data and writing a thesis. Research topics are wide and include the biochemical pathways in cancer, the apoptotic pathway regulation, the activity of enzymes and drug screening.
This program continues with 3 professors, 2 associate professors and 1 research assistant.
Career Opportunities
The masters programme in Biochemistry prepares students with biochemistry backgrounds for employment in either research laboratory in drug companies, researchers in investigation institutions or for further academic research.
