General Information about the Department

As the Integrated School for the Handicapped Ceramics Department, we say let's knead your future together.

Our ceramics department is an applied fine arts department that provides 4-year undergraduate education to hearing-impaired students.

In order to become a student in the Ceramics Department of the Integrated School for the Handicapped, firstly, 100 points must be obtained from the university entrance exam. Students who get 100 points and have hearing loss in both ears are eligible to take the special aptitude exam conducted by the Integrated School for the Handicapped.

The special aptitude exam is a two-stage exam that determines the student's drawing ability and Turkish language skills. At the end of the exam, all students taking the exam are evaluated. The 11 students with the highest scores in the ranking are accepted to the Ceramic Department of the Integrated School for the Disabled.

Our courses cover all areas from the history of ceramics to contemporary ceramic technologies, both artistic and industrial, since ceramic art is an art branch that is as old as human history, including the past, present and future. We have been providing ceramics education for 25 years with departmental workshops, well-equipped computer laboratories and experienced professors.

Art education; It is an education that also has a creative process. In this context, our students learn to think differently with the courses and technical equipment, to express what they think with ceramics, to show their feelings that they cannot express verbally in their inner world by giving life to ceramic clay.

Our students graduate after completing their 4-year education and completing their internship that includes 40 working days.
