General Information about the Department
In the Graphic Program of the Integrated School for the Handicapped, students learn the practical work required in their business life in vocational courses such as Basic Art Education, Packaging Design, and Original Printing. Courses are taught in MAC equipped laboratories, supported by visual technology materials. Students are free to research and use any kind of workshop via the Internet. Currently, 1 Faculty Member and 3 Lecturers are working in the department. In order to increase the knowledge of students, to develop their thinking skills, to understand the necessity of art and to increase its importance, we participate in excursions, cultural and artistic activities (seminars, conferences, exhibitions) in line with the opportunities offered by our school and our campus. Students have 40 working days of internships. Thanks to this compulsory internship, students learn to cope with the problems they may encounter in their careers and develop their knowledge and skills. Portfolio Design 1 and Portfolio Design 2 courses are prepared as a proof of what they know and what they do in Portfolio Design 1 and Portfolio Design 2 courses, and academic support is provided to senior students of the Department of Graphic Design for the Hearing Impaired. Graduates of this department; They can establish a freelance advertising agency or work as a graphic artist in advertising agencies or in the graphic departments of various institutions and organizations. We aim to enable our Hearing Impaired students to participate in the society as productive individuals by providing them with a designer personality and production habits.
