General Information about the Department

The Ceramics Department Established in 1985 has an educational understanding that emphasizes the importance of research and creativity as well as using modern ceramic technology by understanding the versatility and limits of ceramic material. The Ceramics Department, which has well-equipped teaching staff and workshops, enriches its education by organizing research projects regularly, trips, cultural and artistic activities (seminars, conferences, exhibitions) in order to increase the knowledge of students, improve their thinking and abilities, and emphasize the necessity and importance of art. Students have optional internships in alternative areas including ceramic factories, art workshops and design branches. Thanks to these internships, students learn to cope with the problems they may encounter in their careers and develop their knowledge and skills. There are also internship opportunities related to abroad. Students are supported by the faculty and the department to participate in domestic and international ceramic competitions. Seminars are organized to provide experience, information sharing and communication with the graduates of our department.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of this department; In addition to being an artist, researcher in their fields, they can also work as a teacher by obtaining a training certificate, and work as a designer in freelance workshops, ceramic factories or in different sectors. In addition, by making an academic career, they can teach courses in their own fields in Higher Education Institutions.
