General Information about the Department

The Faculty of Law in Anadolu University, one of the top law faculties in Turkey, was established in 1993. Since then, the faculty, with its dynamic and experienced academic staff, has been educating inquisitive and industrious students to be qualified manpower with sufficient legal knowledge and advanced judgment skills.

The faculty consists of two divisions: Public Law and Private Law. This distinction is established for the academic structure and these divisions do not admit undergraduate students individually. Division of Public Law comprises departments of Constitutional Law, Criminal and Criminal Procedure Law, General Public Law, Philosophy and Sociology of Law, History of Law, Administrative Law, Human Rights, Financial Law, and International Law. Many compulsory and elective courses offered within these departments contribute to the academic development of our students. In addition, our students can select courses from the departments they want according to the field they want to improve themselves.

Also, Journal of Anadolu University Faculty of Law, which started its publication in 2015, is one of the important contributions of the faculty to the academic community.

Career Opportunities

Our faculty educates students to be lawyers specialized in public law and private law in order to provide qualified manpower who can work in all legal fields. Our graduates practice various legal professions both in the private sector and the public sector, especially in the basic legal professions. Students who succeed in the necessary exams after graduation can work as judges and prosecutors and our graduates who have completed their compulsory professional internship can start working as self-employed lawyers.

The fact that the academic staff of our faculty can speak various languages and that there are some courses in English are important advantages for foreign students. In addition to this, there are many opportunities for foreign students to improve themselves in the Turkish language at Anadolu University.
