General Information about the Department
Approximately 4400 pharmacists were graduated from Anadolu University Faculty of Pharmacy, founded in 1968, as of today. The education period consists of 5 years in our Faculty that has been implemented the "Modular Education Program" since the academic year of 2017-2018. Students at the end of 5 years qualify to be pharmacists with a bachelor's degree, but the expression of master's degree is included in the diploma supplement. Our faculty has 33 professors, 18 associate professors, 8 doctor lecturers, 18 research assistants, and 3 lecturers.
Career Opportunities
Pharmacists graduate from our faculty could open a pharmacy and work at hospitals or pharmaceutical/cosmetics industries, and make academic carrier. Pharmacists are part of their healthcare teams because they are the medication specialists. By opening a pharmacy, pharmacists present pharmaceutical care for obtaining the maximum benefit from the pharmacological treatments of the patients. Pharmaceutical/cosmetics industries are related fields that are concerned with producing new medicines and cosmetic products. A pharmacist performs research, creates new drugs, or oversees the quality control process. In an academic career, pharmacists conduct research, e.g., drug design or drug development, or pharmacological/toxicological effects. The goal of research performs improvements to medicines and patient's health.

Our Faculty's Undergraduate Education has been evaluated by the National Pharmacy Education Accreditation Board and the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Pharmacy Education Programs and has been awarded full accreditation. Also, the Modular Education Program, defined as a learning component that can be used effectively in the education of students has been implemented in our Faculty.
