Master of Science (MSc) in Speech and Language Therapy
The Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) program in Anadolu University trains students to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, social communication, cognitive- communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. The Department of Speech and Language Therapy at Anadolu University offers Master of Science (MSc) degree which is both research and practice-oriented. The development of the Master Degree Program in SLT dates from its inception in 2001 to the present. The application to the program is administered by the Graduate School of Health Sciences in Anadolu University. The program allows students to expand their knowledge, gain expertise and experience through clinical practicum training.
Every graduate student realizes that an advanced degree (covering both MSc and PhD) is an investment into future. It is the gateway to meeting their academic and clinical needs. Yet, to be eligible for applying to our MSc program in Speech and Language Therapy, prospective students should meet the requirements below.
• A bachelor's degree in Speech and Language Therapy from an accredited university. This will require a minimum of four full-time academic semesters in Turkey.
• Graduates with a bachelor’s degree in areas of study other than Speech and Language
Therapy will not be admitted to the program.
• The Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA), Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES) and English proficiency scores are required for admission.
The MSc program typically takes three years to complete; in which students should take at least 7 courses and supervised clinical SLT practicum courses with required credits and make presentations at research seminars organized during the academic year on a regular basis. Writing a thesis under supervision and orally defend it in front of a jury is the last final requirement for earning a MSc degree.
