General Information about the Program
One of the most important aims of civilization and contemporary culture is to create an environment where physical and psychological needs of human can be answered. It is natural that requirements and expectations of contemporary human being are provided by the technological developments. The course programs have been organized as practical, theoretical, and conceptual courses which are related to and support each other. Interior Design workshops are the courses where different design problems and conceptual projects are analyzed and solved, and where a sophisticated discussion atmosphere is created. In the content and running of the lessons, increasing students’ creativity and motivating students to participate the classes are emphasized. The mission of the program; with the awareness of lifelong learning, to provide specialist training to train experts and researchers who can conduct education, research and application studies with advanced knowledge of art, culture and aesthetics specific to the field by using design research methods in professional business life.
Career Opportunities
The graduates of the Proficiency in Art Program of the Department of Interior Design can work at universities/institutes as researchers or work in interior design offices, in universities and in other community institutes, or can work individually.
