Proficiency in Arts - Department of Painting
General Information about the Program
The Painting Department Proficiency in Art Program was established in 1992 within the Institute of Social Sciences. The program has been continuing its education and training at the Institute of Fine Arts since 2008. The duration of Proficiency in Art education and training is between 8 semesters and 12 semesters, together with the courses and thesis preparation phase, according to the relevant graduate education and training regulations. The aim of the Painting Department Proficiency in Art Program is to train creative, innovative and expert artists with academic knowledge and experience in the field of fine arts in line with contemporary and current knowledge. In the Proficiency in Art program, expert artist candidates contribute to the field of art and design culture with their research and scientific activities at the theoretical level, as well as the works they produce in accordance with the understanding of contemporary art.

Students who graduate from the program can work as independent artists, academicians and expert researchers in their fields and work in areas that contribute to the culture and art environments of our country and the world. In addition to work as an individual artist, our graduates; can work as academic staff in universities, also in galleries, museums, art and design platforms, institutions that provide art education and in many fields of plastic and visual arts where image and stage designs are made in the cinema sector.
