General Information about the Department

Mathematics Education Doctoral Program is a graduate program within the Department of Mathematics and Science Education of the Graduate School of Educational Sciences. Doctoral education includes producing original scientific work in the field of mathematics education after completing the undergraduate or graduate program. The main purpose of the doctoral program is to train experts and academicians who have the competence to interpret and apply the theories, models and scientific research methods related to the field of mathematics education with a wide and deep perspective. Thus, it is aimed to train individuals who are experts in the field of mathematics education who can take part in all levels of the education sector, contribute to the individual and academic development of students, try to increase and disseminate scientific culture and knowledge, and lead independent research. The program includes various compulsory and elective courses for both field knowledge and field education knowledge, as well as research methods and techniques.
