Program in Pre-school Education - Ph.D.

General Information about the Program

The work to be undertaken during the program's intended doctoral studies is to provide important contributions to the issues to be addressed and to the increase in the effectiveness of pre-school education for the individuals to be trained. It is expected that the quality of the pre-school teacher education and thus the qualifications of the pre-school teachers will increase pre-service and in-service training of pre-school teachers with the doctoral program. In addition, it is aimed to provide students with knowledge, skills and attitudes at the graduate level related to pre-school education and to ensure that they are experts in the field of pre-school education. A student with an MA/MS degree is required to successfully complete a minimum of 7 courses, not less than 52,5 ECTS credits. Moreover, students without an MA/MS degree who enroll in the doctoral program are required to successfully complete a minimum of 14 courses, not less than 105 ECTS credits. Both groups of students are required to take the required Field Specialization Course, pass the qualifying exam, have an accepted dissertation proposal and successfully complete doctoral dissertation work with a minimum of 60 ECTS credits, have a minimum GPA of 3.00/4.00 and no letter grades lower than CC and no YT, DZ grades.
