Program in Primary School Education - MA

General Information about the Program

The general purpose of the Primary School Education Master’s Program is to provide students with knowledge, skills and attitudes about primary school teaching at the postgraduate level, and to support them to specialize in the field as well as to do theoretical and applied studies. 11 faculty members work in the program. 5 of these faculty members’ academic titles are Prof. Dr., 3 of them are Assoc. Prof. Dr., 3 of them are Asst. Prof. Dr. Within the scope of the program; various courses are given such as teacher training, education of fields, teaching-learning process, research methods and techniques. In order for the students to graduate from the program credits, they must succeed in a minimum of 7 courses, a seminar course and provided that not less than 60 ECTS, succeed in a thesis in total. In addition, students must have a grade of at least YT, CC or above from all the courses taken and the GPA must be at least 2.50 out of 4.00.

Career Opportunities

The graduates of the Primary School Education Master’s Program can work as experts in the education sector and academia. Graduates can continue their education in doctoral programs in the same field; in addition, apply to research assistant positions at state, foundation and private universities, become academicians, and provide educational consultancy to schools.
