General Information about the Department

It is important to apply scientific methods and approaches to tourism activities, which are among the primary income targets of countries and an important area of cultural interaction and promotion. The Tourism Management Undergraduate Program offers the opportunity to study in a dynamic field and at the same time constantly renews its learning contents according to the needs of the digital age. In this context, the Program aims to train executive candidates who think globally and manage their organizations in accordance with the requirements of the age.

The education model applied in the program offers equal opportunities to those who cannot find formal education opportunities, those who have an associate degree and want to upgrade it to a bachelor's degree, and to anyone who wants to have a second diploma at the undergraduate level, as well as for young people who are at university age.

Career Opportunities

Due to labor-intensive nature of the tourism sector, it is estimated that the need for labor force in this sector will never reduce; on contrary, it will increase. Today, this demand arises especially at the level of professional managers equipped with technical, social and conceptual skills. In addition, the new business model and processes developing with technology have increased the need for professional human resources with digital skills and professional expertise to manage the contemporary tourism industry.

Considering the rapid increase in the number of tourism enterprises, it can be predicted that a significant portion of the graduates will be able to find jobs at different management levels in various tourism enterprises such as accommodation establishments, travel agencies, food and beverage services and airline companies.

The Tourism Management Undergraduate Program focuses on global and international issues such as the development and management of sustainable tourism and some of the most pressing issues in tourism management, including the impact of new technology on travel, tourism and mobility, and the environmental, economic and social impacts of tourism.
