General Information about the Department of Law (Program in Jurisprudence)

Justice Program of Vocational School of Justice aims to graduate qualified intermediate manpower needed in the legal services sector, especially in the various units of the Ministry of Justice, courts and other judicial authorities. Considering the qualifications required by the judicial services, both theoretical and practical courses on law and vocation are included in the curriculum. In the program, basic law courses such as introduction to basic law, constitutional law, civil law, administrative law, obligations law, criminal law and penal procedure, and civil procedure are offered. In addition to these courses, vocational courses such as notice law, advocacy and notary legislation, keyboard use, office management, professional ethics of justice, and judicial council are given.

Graduates of the Vocational School of Justice can work as court editor, court clerk, prison director, executive director, deputy executive director, and sequestrator in the Ministry of Justice organization. In addition to these, they can find employment opportunities in law offices, notary offices and legal units of various public and private institutions and organizations, including the banking and finance sector. Therefore, the graduates of the Vocational School of Justice meet the need of qualified personnel both in the public sector, especially in the Ministry of Justice, and in the private sector such as law offices which help the state to fulfill its judicial function directly or indirectly.

Vocational School of Justice, Justice Program provides a 2-year associate degree in Turkish. There is a compulsory internship for the students to graduate.

Career Opportunities

The graduates of the Associate Degree Program of Justice can work in the public sector within the Ministry of Justice as justices' chief executive, court clerk, prison director, executive director, deputy executive director, and sequestrator and in legal consultancies as follow-up officers and office personnel.

In the private sector, they can find employment opportunities as attorney clerks in law offices, notary clerks in notaries, and law enforcement officers in the legal units of financial institutions such as banks and insurance companies.
